| Our grant awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 and, in certain cases, the Board has the discretion to award a grant greater than $5,000. The grant funding is for a one year period. We can fund only 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations.
We have two grant cycles each year. To be considered for grant funding in the first grant cycle, applications must be received by February 15. For consideration in the second grant cycle, applications must be received no later than September 15. Grant awards will be made approximately six weeks after these submittal dates. Applicants may submit only one application within a twelve month period.
To apply for a grant: Submit an email with the following materials to grants@strongfoundationgrants.org. Each item listed below should be attached as a separate file.
1. Grant Application. For the format and content of the grant application, refer to the "Grant Application Form" on the following page.
2. IRS Letter. You must establish your eligibility for funds:
a) If your organization is tax exempt, attach a copy of the IRS letter stating 501(c)(3) status;
b) If your group is not tax exempt, you must have a tax-exempt fiscal agent. Attach a letter from the director of your fiscal agent that acknowledges your organizations' relationship and a copy of the fiscal agent's IRS 501(c)(3) letter. If a grant is awarded, the grant agreement must be signed by the fiscal agent and the check will be made payable to the fiscal agent.
3. List of your organization's Board Members. If possible, limit to 1 page.
Please do not include attachments other than the materials requested, such as newspaper clippings, letters of support or other materials, as they will not be considered.
